    Matching paint colour

    Hi All

I have just finished rebuilding my trailer and am wishing to paint it the same colour as my Rangie. I had a piece of cut off Rangie panel that I took to a paint place yesterday and asked them to make up some paint. I got it home last night and the paint look like an olive green colour! No where near my car colour (which I think is called desert almond)

I was only getting gloss enamel and not car paint, and was only planning on brushing it, so I was ok with a slight variation, but this was no where near it.

Does anybody know a good paint place in Brisbane that can match paint colours?

    Cheers

If you PM me your VIN, I can get the LR paint code for your car.
Unfortunately, after 20 years there might be a colour difference between your car & the new paint anyway.

Some paint shops use a spectrometer to get the exact formulation. Maybe chase up one of those & get them to scan your sample.

These are the LR codes for 1986 RRs:
    ALASKAN 36
    ASTRAL SILVER 93
    CASPIAN BLUE 94
    CASSIS RED 06
    CHAMONIX 89
    CYPRESS GREEN 95
    SAVANAH BEIGE 92
