    Hi there

Well least I am not the only one having problems with the outer-limits site - even DeeJay's link provided will not work.

I have been following the guy building the hybrid with the land cruiser diffs etc - such a quality build indeed.

Its must be down for repairs - will try again later in the week.

It may be Turoa who has just done a series with a high HP Holden 202, Hilux axles etc.

    Hi there

You are right it looks to have a holden 6 cylinder - still unable to get axcess to outerlimits.

What are the advantages to having toyota diffs within a rover - I am assuming the better gear ratios?

    all the best

Toyota hilux diffs use hypoid gears, which although 8" dia crownwheel are stronger than the 8-1/2" spiral bevel gears in Rover diffs.

The 30 spline Toyota axles are larger diameter than Rover 24 spline axles.

I was going to say because they are stronger but that will do nicely.

How is yours coming along Slunnie? Matt
