Keyless Entry Disco2 - Help Needed

    I bought a 2nd hand key/fob for a discos series 2

I asked the local LR dealer to code it

They tell me you need the bar code from the key, issued at the time of purchase, otherwise it cannot be coded/programmed

Any suggestions apart from spending $350 on a new key fob

    thanks

Unless you disable the superlock mechanism - you have to use the remote

The key in the door trick is for emergency access only, and then you have to use it in a specaio sequence

Alan, If u dont have the barcode, the remote part of the key will NOT work. You could cut the key blank & use it for EKA only & leave it under the vehicle for emergency's..just a thought!!
