I subscribe to the therory, when the needle on the fuel guage is on the 'E' mark, time to refill regrdless of cost. I'm having too much fun to worry about fuel economy

This is an argument you could have til the cows come home.

    Oh look... there's Daisy now.

    Speaking of farmyard animals...

    It's horses for courses.

I prefer Defenders myself but that doesn't mean Discos aren't great cars.

Either way you're in a Land Rover so either is a good choice.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

I've said it before, I'll say it again.

A Defender is a Land Rover,
a Range Rover is an opulent Land Rover
and a Discovery is a plastic Range Rover.

Now I will turn and run from the Disco drivers as fast as my Range Rover will go, or as far as my Defender will take me.

Stand united. We are all Land Rover Owners irrespective of model, arguing between models is something I expect of the Toyota mob .

A Defender is soft! Air conditioning and coil springs... pathetic!

A Series is a Land Rover.

I think the point has been lost somewhere here i origionally just wanted to know what if anything made the Defender better offroad than the Disco when they share so much!(aside from the obvious).
And if you took the carpet out of a Disco and put rubber mats in you could hose it out to!.
