    to leave the ignition on

    Hi all,
Heading to Moretone at the end of the month. I have not rigged a deep cycle bat yet. Is it ok to leave the ignition on to keep my fridge running for the hour barge and the steroeo at camp. i never used to in my suzzy because i was told it would burn the points out.

    Thanks

Nope... Ignition on is not a good idea...

Accessories is fine, but "ON" is not.

3rd.. Just Acc will do. It'll also drain less power.
    Cheers

just the first click will be fine for the trip over, its only an hour so you won't have any problem, the fridge motor will run for much less than an hour, even if it drew 5 amp an hour that only around 2-3 amps out of you battery, the disco will still fire up

Excuse my ignorance, why why not ignition ON on a diesel? The glow plugs will time out, so what's the issue? Or is it an issue with TD5s electrickery?
