I dont know who owns it, but it looks pretty flashgood luck with the purchase.
Ill give you a few more details
It is a 99 Tdi
Has done around the 46000 km mark
Has dual tanks, a water tank with shower unit
winch and bar
Boat loader for the roof ( not shown in Pic)
custom Soft top
How much do they want for it, if you dont mind me asking.
It comes with a full off road camper, stainless kitchen dual batteries gas cookers, water tanks boat loader for the trailer ( this guy was into boats) fridge etc etc
Looking around the 30 000 mark
obviously he didn't drive to far, and at that price it's a steal. get a mechanic to check it over and buy it before someone else does.
swisho wow what a rig are you sure it hasnt been rolled why would you get rid of all the side panels and put sft sides on it![]()
but yes it looks the goods![]()
the car with all the extra's for $30g's![]()

i'd buy it
but i wouldn't fancy going through a bog hole with the roof down![]()
130's rule
I'm thinking its possibly been wrecked and rebuilt. The reason for chopping the roof is a roll-over or some other severe damage to that area. Also the respray (that's not an original colour), wheels etc and the low mileage could even be a replacement dash, or it was off the road for a long while.
One option is to give Land Rover a call and see if they can tell you anything of the vehicles history, they just need the VIN number.
My reasoning is based on some county's I've seen that have had the same done to them.

My exact thoughts, I would want to see the original top or at least some proof of its sale. Not that a rollover is all that bad, but would the next purchaser want a soft top? As you say dm_TD5, its also the wheels (bent originals?) and paint job. Pity its aluminium ( for once) as the magnet test won't work to find any bog.Originally Posted by dm_td5
