Aren't you glad you don't have to buy her a corrolla???? Just think of how far the thing would get on the way to the west on those northern roads...Defenders only for that area..

Just like the rest of us I guess. Good thing she has taste, pity she has no sense.

The advantages of a Corolla are cheap on fuel and cheap to maintain, provided it is driven carefully only on good bitumen roads.

The advantages of a Defender are well known. Cheap on diesel, excellent on unformed roads (plenty of them up there) and a big bonus : You can fit a decent bullbar to allow for errant skippies, etc.

Resale on either will be very dependant on condition.

Send her through the Alice and we will look after her Land Rover for her...

Buy her one. My sis had a landy as her first car.It was a seris 3. Dad said if you can drive that you can drive anything. Also safer for her to drive in . As everyone got out of her way

BTW may not want to hear this . But my sis said it was the best car she ever had for pulling blokes. They always were surprised she drove a Landy and wanted to have a go in it.

If she wants a 'fender let her have it.

Put some roll bars on it and a fullharness..... if she bangs it she'll be more okay than what she hit.

Given a 'fender is not a Ferrari in the speedy dept.

If my 15yo wanted one I'd say go for it.

Much better than a Hyundai = dead kid.... been there....

If she heads up there in a Corolla she will be land locked in a small town - like being under house arrest. Give her the Defender so she can get out and about. You don't want her hanging around with the kind of people that just loitter around outback towns.
