I've just got a "part" message (email)
my normal contact is out for the day and will contact me with a delivery date tomorrow
Actual production will be finished today, then they just have to leak test them all, and pack & ship
I'll let everyone know as soon as I do
    thanks

For the $440 how much of a benefit are they? Is there a significant power increase?

    intercoolers 101

to be honest intercoolers are probably not the best bang for your buck IF that's all the mods you plan to do (I really hope that honesty doesn't cost me too many sales) PLEASE READ TO THE END
If you fitted one to your otherwise std Tdi on a cold (read Melbourne winter) day you'd probably hardly / not notice any difference
BUT on a 40 degree day when your tdi is out of breath you certainly will
The factory ****y intercooler ain't all that bad in pommy land, that's why LR fit it but it's waay undersized for aust.
Unfortunately most people don't want to chop up the front of their car to fit a proper sized intercooler so I have made this one as a drop in replacement as big and as efficient as we could fit in the factory opening

intercoolers reduce charge air temps, bigger more efficient intercoolers just do it better, reducing charge air temps is GOOD (read very good) for your engine, you are actually reducing thermal load (read reducing stress)
you can therefore tweak injector pump & if you like turn up boost (I normally stick to the inj pump) and only put the same stress on the engine internals NOT more stress like you would if you had a std intercooler
(obviously the other thing that causes thermal stress on the pistons & cyls is obviously the explosion of the fuel cause its making heat)

Air existing the turbo full boost on a nice warm day is 100deg C +
the better the intercooler the closer to ambient it returns (cools) this air The cooler the air the denser it is (= contains more oxygen) & oxy = power (part if the fire triangle)
also the bonus is the cooler the pistons/ cylinders (before the piston starts to compress it)

2 examples of intercooler efficiency (PS I do not have actual figures for my cooler or the original land rover ATM)
if charge air is 100C and ambient 40C and the cooler is 50% efficient then(50% of 60C differential is 30C) so the charge air = 70C

take the cooler up to 75% efficiency and see the difference (75% of 60 diff is 45C ) = charge air 55C

    hope all that makes sense
    Jase
