Be quicker to make your own brochure maybe, cut and paste stuff from the 'net.

Making brochures commercially costs a fortune. No wonder LR won't give out any, if they have even 'em...

Now here's and idea for the local Landy mob. Rent out the one brochure you have - on an exchange basis. Or even better post it to the person who wants one with the address of the next person who wants it and it can be sent on, chain letter style.....

There's something rather Fawlty Towers about all this - the 'rat' brochure, Manuel?

LRA do have some long folded throwaway RRS brochures as they gave me a box of them for our stand at a 4wd show back in march.... not sure if i have any left but if i can find 1 i'll PM you for postage details.

Maybe it's just the dealers themselves, as mention for our stand earlier in the year i contacted the LRA marketing department and was sent a box full of G4 DVD's, a box of Disco3 brochures, a box of RRS brochures, half a box of defender brochures and 12 boxes of a back issue of their LR magazine... and all this turned up on a truck 3 days after requesting them to send me anything... although they never did send me the temporary tattoo's they said they would.

Dealers want their salesmen to sell stock. Stock is on a high interest wholesale finance plan. And, unless the system has changed since my exit from the industry, has to be paid out by the dealer after 90 days, if not sold and paid out prior to this point. Also, most dealers have a monthly target or quota for their sales people. Depending on the product lines and individual dealers ways of managing their business this target could be a fixed minimum number of vehicles, a certain dollar value of nett sales, or an amount of gross profit. Sales people who miss targets often are sacked. No point in employing a sales person who is not selling. This is why sales people are reluctant to take forward orders if they have stock of something they might be able to fit you up with.

    stick with landrover

I bought a new Disco in 96, was the biggest lemon of all time. would be easier to list the parts that weren't replaced under warranty than those that were. My point is that I never had a problem with landrover [as a company] they even looked for new problems when it went in for a service! extended my warranty as well. It is still on the coast and the owner loves it. Me? I went back to a 87 rangie. A better unit by far.
