    Cool

    Thanks for all the info.

    The pics look great.

I'm heading off to Cape York next year and I feel the plastic rear may get a work out.

I did the trip 4 years ago but i'm going earlier this time.

    Michael,

Lose the plastic, you'll lose it anyway. They stick out like dogsballs and even the simplest step or drop off will collect it.

Glen can be found at www.brotherscustomshop.com

Although I heard he had closed the shop, but give him a ring, or PM him (Discoute)

I think Justin (Dranged) was looking at doing rear bars as well, but not sure.

G'day it will depend on cost of build but will be under a grand and will be a bolt up item im guna design 2 of em 1 with side armour all the way to the arches which will require the bottom of the rear qtr to be choped off this will be the only mod to fit it as im desgining them to be fitted without any welding to the chass maby a hole or 2 and they will have recovery points..

The second one wont have the side armour and wont require as much alteration from std to be fitted both will be able to take hi lift on the corners so they will be preaty tough and wont bend or break they will have lights fitted and either painted in 2k enamal or powder coated ...

Optional wheel carrier will come later as im guna build the first 2 without as i will be testing them before they are marketed as to prove them first so as to eliminate any isues before hand as i wont supply a crap item its not my style ..

So the new year will bring a new rear bar for the d2 that will be as tough as nails and look the part

    cheers

It's easier to buy it then ride the lightning for a month or two afterwards, if we all obeyed SWMBO progress would cease, they always find bigger and better projects to take money away from a mans hobbies
