Well actually no! You keep bringing up this 'personal' slant (Do withdrawals and apologies mean nothing aorund here or is someone to be pilloried forever for a comment made in the heat of the monent). I have already apologised for the comment and have withdrawn it. In any case, it was nothing more than I would have said to a friend 'around a campfire' as someone else here put it.Quote:

Certainly not going to get into a slanging match, but some of you old school land rover owners need to come into the 21st century. Give Toymota another couple of years and all their cars will be electronic to. Remember LR has been an inovator for the last 50 odd years. There is nothing wrong with old Landies, but there is nothing wrong with new ones either. I just wish I could afford a D3. A test drive does not do any car justice. The D3s and Range Rovers Rock off road. If the electrical gremlins could be sorted the D3 would be the best 4x4 on the road. And just because some of us on here have owned Land Rovers for 30 years and love the old ones it does not make us qualified to slag off new ones without thorough testing.
I think that everybody needs to settle down a little here. Eveybody gets hot headed sometimes. This isn't directed at anybody. Jamop, you've apologised and removed your post, and I thank you for being man enough to do that (I also removed where somebody had quoted what your initial post said)
Play the ball, not the man. If you disagree with a comment, argue against it, but don't let it get personal. when it gets personal, that's when things go downhill fast.
i applaud the fact you apologised....Quote:

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone.
Besides, I had to go to Norseman this morning. It was 40degC at 10am and I've had the fight sucked out of me (even though it was a nice 22degC inside the Land Rover!)
