    New Family Addition

Well, I and Missus Numpty travelled to Sydney and back over the last few days to pick up the new baby. A 1957 88 inch Series 1 Ute. Has a Truck Cab and door tops as well. Is now at M.R. for a checkover and pink slip, and the seats are at the trimmers being refurbished . I have to make new seat frames tomorrow so he can finish the job. It is not a perfect vehicle but is a very straight example which drives very nicely. Hopefully will be registered soon and we can enjoy it. Wife had a drive the other day and she is a natural, no gear grinding and it was hard to wipe the smile off her face.

Looks like a nice S1, very straight for it's age.
It looks brown in the pics is it brown or green?

Very nice. The only S1 I have seen that colour was the one I owned in the early sixties - but it was a 1956 one and was a hardtop with a winch.
