Just got back myself after being up at Sawmill where we have a cabin....luckily Sat and Sun's prdicted weather didnt eventuate as we were told at 11.30am Sat that the fire while 10ks away could have been on us within 1 hour if the northerly blew like it should....thankfully it didnt, and it was worthwhile getting up there to clean up a bit more and support community efforts....

Anyway....As Bargearse said to twenty, 'its a waiting game....'

Fair bit of change on this fire map compared with the one posted a few days ago:

    Cool

I was down through this area 3 years ago and some of it was burnt in the bushfires just before we were there.

The area would have only just regenerated itself from those fires.

    Now we have more devestation.

I saw on the news last night that Dargo is under threat.

We stopped there to get supplies from the store and also restock our booze supply. Though it was only 9 o'clock the pub opened for us.

There was 9 vehicles in the convoy. We worked out we spent about $1500 in the town.

We stocked up on a lot of liquid.

    Mike
