    Matt,

A mini bonnet works fine, thats what we used to use on the dunes at kurnell (well when there were dunes at Kurnell).

Mat: I've got a killer! It's an old Fred Williams wakeboard, basically a piece of ten ply, lovingingly curved and lacqured... from the recycler at the tip for $5! Goes great behind the boat and real well down dunes!

I saw 3 kids riding a bonnet off a Sigma down a sand hill about 50m long on Stradbroke Island when I was there a few years ago.

Got quite alot of speed too. Got thrown off pretty hard when they hit the bottom!

and whats wrong with a series or defender roof hmmm,,, you can fit a family on one of them and they even have the holes pre drilled to poke 5mm rope through to make handholds

Nothing wrong with that at all blacknight - but getting the roof off (and putting it back on) may be a problem.......
