    Yeeeek! I rang the dealer. The $1000.00 is the price of the option when factory fitted during build. Retro fitting is available, with no change out of $8,000.00. We didn't get the option originally because the car we are buying was already on the ship on its way to Fremantle and we wouldn't have had to wait too long to get it.

    Missed out I guess.

    Anyway, the dealers opinion is that we really won't need it. "Overkill" was his description.

    And for 99.9 percent of Discovery 3 owners they are correct.

    True to a point unless you intend to hit hard tracks. If you are just touring you probably wont need it.
    Anyway ARB will have one for you in the not to distant future for the same price as $1000.00 and you can get to know the amazing Disco 3 boundary's of 4x4 till then.
    The D3 with Terrain Response is a very capable vehicle.
