I kid you not - we had 360+mm on Wednesday this week... more than the average monthly December rainfall!
"Yesterday's rainfall is set to become one of the highest recorded in Singapore in the last 75 years, according to a Public Utilities Board update. For 24 hours, from midnight of Tuesday to midnight yesterday, the total amount of rainfall recorded was 366.2mm. This far exceeds the average monthly rainfall of 284mm for December.
According to the National Environmental Agency (NEA) meteorological services website, the highest daily rainfall ever recorded in Singapore was 512.4 mm on 2 Dec 1978."
thats more than the annual rainfall for most of Australia![]()

Yay we got rain yesterday and last night. Some very black and even dark green clouds. Lots of lightning to. One poor 4WD didn't make it through on the freeway. On our way home last night came over the hill where we turn off and there in a bad spot for the trucks was a cop car with its light flashing. Then 50 metres further down the hill was a cop car parked across the left lane like it had slid into the embankment. Sitting next to that was what was left of an Early 90's 4WD that had obviously rolled. SES office in yas was looking busy on our way out last night also.
