Check the New Zealand Police TV show. You sure you want a used vehicle from there?
Seen the off road stuff they do? Heaps off fun, tough, and I mean tough, on the rigs.
Not slinging off at our Kiwi brethren at all. But, by god you folk are tough on vehicles at times.

    Shorty.

Belive me they will sting you for cleaning fees anyway. Does not matter how clean you get it they will clean it anyway.

Well then why even bother having it cleaned before it leaves it's country of origin? They obiously dont give a stuff how clean it is........they'll clean it their way.

I know how hard aquis can be. I've been overseas with my dog before. It's heaps of fun coming back into Australia.

    Thanks for your input.

Nahh... They didn't get me to re-do mine.

You just have to make sure you do it properly....

I had mine cleaned 3 times by a garage and then the shipping agent cleaned it again (as part of the service) . But i read a book about moving to Aus and it says in there that "quote" 99.999999999% of cars will be cleaned when they get to Aus

A friend imported a replica Bugatti Type 35 from Argentina. This car was brand new. The only parts that may have accumulated any dirt were the tyre treads when it was being rolled into the container. AQIS still had to clean it and charge. Argentina has foot & mouth disease was their reasoning. Yes, must be lots of it in factories, machine shops, and foundries in Buenos Aires. He says he will never again import a vehicle, what with the rooting around he got from all the bureaucracy, and the container terminal people. Says not worth the stress and risk of heart attack and stroke. Yes, the car is magic.
