    A word of warning (SYD)

Just heard a tale of woe about a problem they're having in Parramatta. Apparently soccer mums parking the family SUV in the large (un-named) shopping centre are getting an unexpected suprise when their spare wheel cover falls off on the way home, due to the fact that the spare wheel has been stolen (nice of "em to replace the cover I s'pose).
The most popular targets are Toymota Spaz4 and Klunker but I"ll bet if you've got any kind of flash spare you'd get hit. Just one more reason for mounting the spare on the bonnet or a real good excuse for not buying mags?
    Cheers an' all that,
    Gug

I can see this being used as a marketing tool by those who supply space saver tyres (hahahaha) in (usually very expensive) soft roader type 4wds.

    It's pretty crook, tho', mongrels...

Given cars are being fitted with reversing cameras, it would not be too much of a stretch to have the camera send its images to a recorder of some sort.....and then... BUST the thieves!

Sorry - but what is a SUV? - A Holden SS ute or Falcon XR8 Ute? I didn't know they had spare wheels on the back.

Speaking of which - can anyone tell me where I can buy locking wheel nuts for my '96 Disco? I tried years ago when I bought it and could find nothing at all!
