I liked the quote from the pommie guy "this is the best offroading in the world, and I have to navigate"

Made me laugh - it it was the "best" offroading in the world, you wouldn't be able to do it in a near stock rangie.

"this is the best offroading in the world, and I have to navigate"

part of his sentence was edited (insert just after the comma): "around a cosy castle with nice warm beds and cold bottles of bollinger"

Anyone see the G4 this sunday.
I think they should rename it the canoe, bike, run, and sometime get to drive a Landy on a bit of sand or over a manmade course - challenge

Now I know why the words Land Rover isnt in the title because you hardly see one.
I'm not going to be wasting my time watching that rubbish again.

I find it very entertaining to watch. The fitness of the competitors is astounding to me (your average couch potato!).

    agreed.................
But if you want to watch that sorth of stuff you may as well watch gymnastics or a sports channel.

I think it's a shame it's diverted so much from the original Camel trophy style comp.

The Dakar was far more entertaining.

I watched part of it that day. The only LRs I saw were Freelanders on some sort of Plastic wheeled raft.

This is all I have seen on the G4 so unless I saw it on a bad day then I am not going to bother either. Looked more akin to Survivor than a 4wd challenge.
