I own a D2 with CDL, so I'm not too sure what to do on a RR, but I guess it would be similar.
When I travelled the Simpson Desert I had no difficulty with TC at all, the sand was quite firm, tyres at 18 psi. However when I travelled the Canning SR, I had difficulties getting over a number of dunes due to TC washing off momentum. (Towing a camper)
I simply pulled the ABS relay that controls the TC. On a D2 it is relay 10.
After which it flew up the dunes with ease.
You do have a number of warning lights appear on the dash, but they all dissapear once the relay is replaced.
