I couldn't see one for the TD5, but would love one if we could get one. Maybe an industrious member could have a go at making one? If we could find the right coupling for the job it would be fairly easy there after would it not? Who has any ideas?

I was going to get some like that made up for the TD5. Spoke with a radiator place and the guy's response was great I love the custome work where you have to think instead of just plonk it it. He seemed to think he could make up a set for the price I had just paid for the replacement.

I could see these being made from refrigeration copper tees & reducers, silver soldered together with a slight swage on each outlet/inlet.

Easy job, once you know the hose IDs.

At the british cost plus postage, it would still be cheaper than getting something made locally. And they are purpose built not knocked together.
I have a couple of falklands mates living over there now, i'll see what price they can get them for, they have VAT numbers.

Just out of curiosity mr reads, what is the weight of the unit, ( thats if you have it.

OK, FWD Motors in Brisbane now sell these composite lower hoses for 300TDIs. Bought one last week.

The hose clamps look a little flimsy for my liking but they can easily be replaced with better ones.
