Same thing happened to a good mate of mine just before Xmas. Someone pulled out of a driveway, didn't see him, luckily he was only doing about 40kmh.

Bike (Triumph) ended up tangled in her bullbar, written off, he met the road, compound fracture left arm, dislocated thumb, longitudinal fractures in his left whatever the bone is in the bottom of your leg that supports the knee. Can't put weight on that leg yet.

Second prang in a year that was someone else's fault, the other time someone opened a door (passenger) while he was riding between two lanes of cars up to the lights, deliberately I reckon.

Says his riding days are over too but give it a year and he'll be back in the saddle I reckon.

    Glad your ok.
My brother had 2 accidents within a minute the other day on his bike.

Rear ended a car at 10kmh, He said he knew he wasn't going to stop fast enough. Then obviously not thinking he picked the bike up and failed to notice the clutch leaver was gone. Bike being in gear and still running took of strait into the front of an army truck doing 80kmh.
At least he only suffered bruising to his leg and knee.

    Re: motorbike

I might be a Yank, but I'm also an Aussie, and there is a reason why I live in this country. Won't be suing him, I'll leave the insurance companies to handle it. My belief is, "If we didn't have lawyers, we would'nt need lawyers"
