    Stuck Hilux in Beerburrum SF

Did anyone else see the bogged Hilux in the Beerburrum State Forest?

It was on the Southbound side of the highway and quite visible just after Roy's Road. I doubled back through the forestry track and snatched them out (of very deep muddy water) at about 6pm.
They said they had been there for 1.5 hours and had many toots of horns but no offer of help. They were trying to hand winch themselves out but only had one of those wire rope come along things.

My bit of fun for the day. Oh other than watching the recovery of a stuck log truck with a bulldozer in another forest but that is just another day at work.

Have photos of the log truck but nothing of the Hilux unfortunately.

    I know

When I left work this afternoon I left the camera on my desk. I thought 'I won't be needing that this weekend'. I'm sure there will be a next time.

If it helps here's a picture of a bogged Hilux that I snatched out of a bog the other week.

I think this just shows they get stuck all over the country

That looks very familiar. Except the one I did was down over the headlights and was a 1980ish white single cab. They didn't mind though. It ran fine when extracted and they followed me out

Unfortunately I haven't any pic's of a Rodeo stuck in the same hole a week earlier. It was up to the bonnet and the 100 series LC that was there couldn't budge it. Inside was water over the seats too

Its a good fishing hole I've so far got a Rodeo and a Hilux, I'm angling for a Nissan, but it seems to be drying up

When using a recovery strap or winch always drape something over it to act as an air brake... Oooh that's going to hurt
