    New CDL for the Disco

Well after putting up with the AMV CDL only working when it wanted too and then finally giving up on me, i ordered a new factory DIIa CDL kit this morning from Discoparts in England, a big thanks to the guys on the D2au forum for their help.

At $550 not cheap but this will at least last the life of the car unlike the AMV job which only lasted 20mths

Not very impressed with their so called tested under rugged conditions ans supposed waterproof AMV CDL

    Cheers Baz.

I've never liked those AMV jobs myself as I have seen the 'shortfalls' of the units.

LRA used to sell a cable style CDL that had a t-piece on the end, pull the cable and it engaged. They only fit the Td5's and not the V8's I understand

The ones like you described are not a bad bit of gear, seen a couple of pics on other forums.

I like the look of the Ritters ones...all mechanical & seems strong. Has anyone got one of these?
