    Crikey!

(My dad did that with a VW back in the sixties, took two days to get it out of the long down hill terraced back yard).

Many years ago I lived in a steep part of Kew in Melbourne - my next door neighbour had a short, steep uphill driveway with a flat just long enough for his car (an Alfa) in front of the garage door. One evening, he arrived home, got out slammed the door of the car - and watched open mouthed as it started off down the drive, across the road and through the paling fence over the road - fortunately got a gap in the traffic! Also fortunate that the people over the road had not put in their swimming pool....... Although I seem to remember the Alfa was a write off anyway - it was a bit banana shaped, probably from mounting the kerb on the other side of the road, or possibly from hitting a fence post.

About 40 years ago, our neighbour from across the road came and asked if I'd move my car from their driveway.

I'd come home and forgot to pull on the handbrake and went inside. It rolled out of the driveway and across the road and partway into their drive.

No damage to anyone or anything.
