Anyone going to Fraser in the next few weeks?

Last time I was at Fraser I stayed at a camping ground called Akuna. Since then that zone has disappeared and been replaced with Burad. We're heading up there on the 19th of March and want to stay there.

Looking at the map it appears similar, but it's hard to get specifics. It appears to not go as far North but my question is about the Southern boundary. I've tried to talk to the rangers but they don't seem to answer their phones.

The camping area is just south of Indian Head and if anyone is going there I'd be grateful if the could have a look as they drive by

    See the camping map here.

That would be good. I'm specifically interested as to whether this creek is still in the camping area. There isn't anything especially good about it but it's good if you're into flying. It's called Kurrnung Creek.

Bump... anyone with any ideas on this?

I phoned the rangers a number of times in the last couple of days and no answer!

Heading there this friday (how happy am I??? ), will have a look for you, you want GPS co-ord of start and finish os zone??? They can be a little vague from memory, usually with a sign in the middle of the zone.

    Thanks Inc!

Drut, the position of the spot is as follows.

Drive north along beach. Go past Eli Creek, Dundaburra Camping ground. You will then go past Red Canyon which I believe has bins.

Nearly there now. There will be the Wyuna camping area which should have Wyuna Ck in it. Once you leave this area only a couple of k's up the beach is the Burad Camping area. My question is whether Kurrnung Creek is within it's boundaries. I'm pretty sure it will be around the southern border of the camping area. Burad should also have Akura Ck within it as well.

I'd love to know this if you can check it out for me. I will officially owe you a beer.

What are you up to on your trip? When do you get back?
