i thought it was Sh*t there was no 4wding it was all advertising and Sh*t
I was quite excited when it fell out of the magazine cause I am planning a trip to Fraser in September...but it might as well been set in bloody Africa! Apart from some nice footage there was bugger all info on Fraser itself...would have thought they could at least flash up a map or something!
Yeah it was just one big add...and what was with that section on Mig welding. It was informative but totally out of context...its like they finished the DVD and realised it was too short so they stuck something in the middle!
Good to see Pat gone though...he gave me the sh!ts a bit...

i liked the Auspit bit, it was that loud you couldnt hear Rooth, yeh, I would love one of them in my campsite for a few hours.![]()
The Ugly Duckling-
03 Defender Xtreme, now reduced by 30%.
a master of invisibleness.
Did you see them driving through the waves.... OMG![]()
Their cars are going to look like the maheno in 18 months!
I reckon anyone that drives on the beach is a nutter unless there in an old banger.
Or of course you have too much money and trade the 4x4 in every 4 years and send all the problems to someone else.

I'll take my Rangie to hell and back, up the nastiest hill or wombat hole, but beach drving I am very careful an not too keen to do stupid **** like I've seen at Raibow, etc.. in the past.
My Rangie has lasted 20 years and would like it to live a little longer with me at the helm thankyou very much![]()

They only keep the display trucks for a couple of years and are pretty obsessive about washing them. It's the first thing they do when the camera get's into the case. Directors also love a shot of a 4x4 making a splash! I made them do the big drive through on the Coffs DVD 5 times.
You guys should go to the 4wdmonthly website and complain about all the advertising.
They need the feedback.
There's a job going as a DVD producer if anyone is interested.
It's good money and conditions. Some would say a dream job.....

Thank you MrApoc.
Just on the rust issue, generally -
while I'm very careful about this too - I do occasionally get the Disco in salt water - sometimes you can't avoid fording a salty stream - but it always gets a good hose down afterwards...
there is some minor rust on the wheel nuts and the rear bumper has developed a few spots but otherwise no problems -
must be due to the inbuilt LandRover antirust system - the never ending and almost unfixable leaking power steering! leaky rocker covers a while ago also helped.....![]()
