    The 4x4 Show

skipping thru the many channels of crap on cable yesterday, i saw a new show on Aurora (community channel), the 4x4 show.of course it follows the same sort of style as 4wdtv, but without any style (not that 4wdtv has much anyway).
it's all done responsively and gives a bit more family touring info, so it doesn't do us any harm, but it's good to see another of these shows on the box. it shows that we have a presence and may even encourage us to have a voice.

Yeah sounds good and it is a great thing to have a platform to show responsible 4wding and where to do comp style 4wding without p***ing anyone off.

A show more based on touring sounds good but I havn't seen it as yet.

Ive got a gripe about 4wdtv and thats that stupid shaking special effect that they are using his year.

Each time they do it I cant focus properly for a few seconds afterwards, I wish they would stop it.

HMMM i have watched it a couple of times and they are very orientated to "YANK CRAP", a couple of weeks ago they did a show on the Brisbnae car show, when the camera was pointed at the LR stand the dark haird git popped his head in front of the camera and said "none here" IE looking for 4X4's well not to say this go me started, Then they talked to the Hummer man and what a load of crap it was. After the show was over i emailed them from there web site and had a few kind words. They emailed me back and said it wasnt done on purpose (Deb nearly fell off the lounge laughing when i told her this" and there was no one at the landrover stand that would talk to them, same at Nissan, Ford & Toyota but funny all the yank ones talked to them ????????????

I've watched it a couple of times. It is very poor quality but that is part of the appeal I suppose of a Bris31 show. Shoestring budgets and all. However I doubt I would bother with it if I didn't live in Brisbane as it is good for local content.

I haven't seen it enough to notice any yank vehicle bias but they interviewed a 4wdriver training guy and he referred to the show's Cherokee as that "little Jeep". Something along the lines even your little Jeep would make it or something.
