I heard that LRs reasoning was that it was driven thru "silty water" ie. if you drove the D3 thru nice clean water it wouldnt have happened.

Having read through that thread (mostly) I can say I am truely happy for AULRO. Peace and quiet. Outerlimits can get a bit roudy sometimes but at least it is mostly Land Rover friendly.

Its a very amusing thread. I think I've given up trying to inject a bit of reality in there. Note the editor of OL is defending Landies, which is a good thing compared with the attitude at other Oz 4WD magazines, where they make up excuses to bag them.

Yeah Slunnie, it's a bit of fun to play with people like that sometimes. Who has the video of the D3 being driven up that deep stream still? that would be handy
