Were they built over a period of years?
The first one has a series 3 windscreen. The other 2 have a later windscreen.
How come?
Over a few years Land rover were playing with the range rover chassis and land rover bodyBut they were mostly made around 1978]
This is why in the UK ARC (assiated Rover Club) you can race a 100" land rover hybrid , but can't race a tomcat or bowler. All becasue land rover made a 100" and never made a bowler
Are there any privately owned 100' Land Rovers? Or are they all owned by Dunsfold?
From talking to Phil over the years about it. They have the biggest collection (dunsfold) but there are one or two sold to the private people but no one knows where or if they are still about
BTW Useless fact of the day . Dubnsfold Land Rovers is in Dunsfold (hence the name) same place where (infact next door) Top Gear is Film. Tiny Village 40 miles south of London out in the middle of nowhere. Well in Uk terms:)
one was for the swiss army and one for the french army / police , remeber the swiss army one as when Phil told me i thought to myself. What thoses sit on the fench lot have an army. Then thought must have after all they have a knife for their army so they must have an army :D :D
