    Ford sells Aston Martin !

The Ford Motor Company has sold Aston Martin.

They didn't waste any time deleting the brand from ford.com either.

    Full story here:
    Ford's Version:
    http://media.ford.com/newsroom/relea...;release=25635

    and Aston Martin's version:
    http://www.astonmartin.com/thecompan...8-6fc0f2882719

Sale price about $1 BILLION to a consortium comprising a rich Pom, a rich Yank and lots of Kuwaiti money.

Hopefully they'll invest even more than Ford did in it, and be more interested in developing Aston Martin as a brand rather than just one horse in a big stable.

And to think I didn't even know it was for sale, or I might have bought it! (Yeah, right).
Why buy just one car when you can own the company.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

I guess they are trying to re-coop on the $16 billion USD they lost last year!

I think that was for the best anyway, the new Astons were becoming very...cheap looking.

    IMO
