toally agree with dullbird, pitties can be tops dogs. when we first started our dogwashing biz, one of the other jim's people (tree and landscapes) had us do his two pitbulls, Rex and Princess. they were both great dogs, unfortunately, rex didn't like other dogs or witches hats, he latched on to one in the trailer and tore it to shreds. Princess was a real sweety. their main problem was that they were so friggin" strong. once they got hold of something, they didn't let go until the "game" was over. sometimes you could distract them with a food treat, but you had to be careful that it didn't include your hand.
i used to have a boxer, my ex-wifes. after we split, iyt went back to the lady that bred them, with her sister and mother. great dogs, silly as a cut snake.
big dogs are the go, keep you warm in winter when the missus steals the doona. one on either side of you on the bed.

and one across the top of the bed to put your pillow on..............................i think we need a bigger bed

The woman who owns the dogs came in late thursday to pick them up.She got the bitch but left the dog as it was really going off.Even she was too scared to let it out.
The dog catcher got a phonecall at 11pm from the roadhouse,a truckie had picked up a dog 60ks north of Williams.
Turns out it was the pitbull, had come of the back of the ute.Very sad and sorry for itself.Strange thing is,it is totally a different dog, quite, wants a pat, wags its tail.It refused to get on the back of his ute and jumped into the cab!!!!WOULDNT TRUST THE THING THOUGH!!!!!
I guess the woman did a runner, was due in court in Narrogin friday morn.My missus had to go out to clean the unit friday, bowls of used syringes and traces of white powder everywhere.
The dogcatcher was warned by the police not to have the dogs shot as the owner has threatened to shoot anybody who shoots them, and they belive he would.
Luckily he is locked up,he appears in court monday.

One of my tafe buddies has a pitty pup, its like a kitten really, aside from it being as strong as my 3 year old heeler cross :O

I still think they are great dogs, the little yappy dogs annoy me more then others because they never shut up and they bark at anything.
