All the usual mobs (Avis, Budget, et al) only want to rent out Tojo's or nissan's. (No class at all)

No "real" 4wdriving planned, just a few back roads, Condamine River Gorge, etc.

Try Aussie trax they do disco's as well http://fraserisland4wd.com.au/vehicles/vehicles.htm , or at least they did used to . There is another company around that do rangie and discos but can't find them at the moment

I have a '94 RR Classic.

If it gets to the wire and you can't find anything, you could swap with me and use it for your longer trips.

However, I have found it to be a bit cramped in the back also, particularly if the driver is tall and needs to have the seat right back (viz. me). Sounds like a 7 seater disco might be more appropriate.

Anyway see how you go and send me a PM if you don't have any luck.
