Misc free stuff wanted

vlad, i don't believe it, you want a bbq for free and people in nsw are offering to find one at the tip for you!
i have a three burner jobbie that would keep a school fete going all day [in fact it has] but i'm here and you're there - if you want it come and get it, but it would be cheaper to just buy a new one and it will work - 'read' --- not have rusted up burners and rusty legs [mine hasn't got them though.]

Gotta love the scabs, i was dumping some stuff at the tip yesterday and one of them started poking around the trailer before i had even un tied the rope. :twisted: Now that ****s me, cause until its in the trench i still own it. :D

Come now man of many stars, it isn;t removing from the tip face, it is recycling from the recycle centre.
If it helps poor Vlad so be it.

Had one like that yesterday. Was driving the kids around and saw a computer in some fella's driveway next to the bins. Knocked on the door, no answer, so didn't pick up the computer. Came back a couple of hours later, parked in the driveway, knocked on the door, woman said take it away, dump it in the back of the truck. There's a fella wanting to get in the driveway, I say, sorry just grabbing computer. He gets all shi**y about it taking his gear off private property, and won't listen when I tell him that I've already got permission to take the stuff away.

Some days you just can't do the right thing.

I have an older style gas stove, The type the lid folds down on, two burner type only that it only has one burner, but it works, I'll see if i can get another one, other wise you can have it, if you like.
what else, the place has heaps of stuff that can be used, just need to know exactly what you want.
they even have snow ski's.

i have some alum pole left overs, you may be able to do something with.
their yours. and i do occassionaly drink xxxx. ( only if you can afford it)

Tregeagle may be a bit far from me mate, I;m in Brissie. But thanks for the offers, I really appreciate it.

Vlad it is only just up the road remember, so is redcliffe. besides one of my neighbours goes up every week, to visit his elderly father who still lives there.
Any excuse to go for a drive anyway. it doesn't worry me. Besides I haven't been to have a look at that new ikea store near logan yet.

Had a look at that barby , it was still there, a downunder brand, three legs, round top, single burner , it didn't have a hole in the middle had a squarish groove on the side leading to a hole.
If your interested just say so, I'll organise the rest.

We dont have recycling centres here its tip face or nothing. Either way its recycling though. I got no problem i take stuff to when i see good stuff but if someone was dropping stuff off i would sit back and wait till they get it out of their trailer. :D

If you have done the right thing, not much else you can do. Is he gunna sit there and wait for the council and abuse them for taking stuff aswell? :D I dont think it matters who takes it in that case, as long as its gone, i certainly wouldnt care if i had left stuff out for the council on pick up days i wouldnt care to much who took it.

i thought all councils had establised some sort of tip face to recycle centres, maybe its too cold in lithgow!
You talk about blokes takng stuff out of trailers, at the Lismore tip, you get descended upon as soon as you pull up. but they are the blokes who get stuff from the face and take it to the recycle centre, its a bit off putting. But if you have a heap of stuff, that can be reused, you just take it to the recycle centre and they don't charge you for it.
Because this is an area of diverse cultural groups and a lot of tree huggers and alternate lifestylers, it does a roaring trade, in stuff I would class as crap.
