Great Desert Tracks
I bought the new Hema maps book, Australia's Great Desert Tracks Atlas & Guide, today. Written by Ian Glover and Len Zell.
Very good for anyone interested in desert trips. Very interesting information about our deserts and their geology etc, has good general information for many tracks and all have related Hema maps. 272 pages, B4 size, spiral bound.

Wow sounds interesting. Depending on the detail of the maps it could be good value too.

In the introduction, it says the book is an expansion of the Hema Great Desert Tracks, Pilbara and Mid West WA maps.
There are sections of maps throughout the book (the map section for the Canning SR takes 4 pages) A map atlas starts on page 161 (legend). The atlas contains B4 size maps from p162 to p241. They have the same level of detail and information (notes, gps coordinates etc) as Hema map sheets and generous overlap at the edges of the page.
