How come we get Disco 1,2,3 & 3 Rangie variants, and

    Defender variant of some sort???

When we have Tdi, Td5, 90, 110, 130, County, just plain old 90 & 110, Perentie (not that there are many of those ).

You left out 120 - and I would point out (as I have before) that "County" is a trim level, not a model, that was used on a variety of models including Series 3, Rangerover and 90/110 from about 1980 on.

If you are differentiating Defenders on engine (TD5, TDi), maybe you should also differentiate other models by engine type, for example the 110 came with a choice of V8 or Isuzu and, although not sold here, the 2.25 and 2.5 petrol and diesel and turbo diesel. Or the Series 3 came with 2.25 petrol or diesel or 2.6 petrol or V8 or Isuzu. Or the Series 2/2a came with 2.0 or 2.25 or 2.6 petrol or 2.0 or 2.25 diesel. Or the Series 1 came with 1.6 or 2.0 petrol or 2.0 diesel.

Ah but there's as much difference between the Td5/Tdi Defender and the SI/SII Disco.

And also just as much difference (if not more) between (for example) a Series 1 80" and a Series 1 86", or and certainly more between a Series 3 Stage 1 and other Series 3, or for that matter between a Series 2 and a Series 2a after suffix G (engine, headlight position, electrical system, rear axle, thread types, numerous other differences).

D'Oh ! I left outr the Freeloader. Apologies to people who own one, but there are only 10 options available ! Feel free to comment if you own one, and it's your PREFERENCE to put down ahead of any other LR you may own.

I don't think 4 Freelander categoreis would be required - lucky to get one in each I'd reckon !

So far its Disco variants, then Defender variants, then RR, which is only narrowly beating out the Series trucks !

And GEEZ! Vlad, where's the 101 forward control category?

We all want one of them for our collection - I really do!

    (But I'd really like a 6x6 Pinzgauer, sorry............it's not a Land Rover.)
