Approx. a year ago I bought a pedestal fan from a well known chain of red and yellow shops that I'm sure no customer has been rejected by. This year with the onset of summer I find it is not working properly, so I found the receipt only to discover it is 6 days over the 1 year warranty. I was so enamoured with it as it was a decent brand, designed in Aus but made in China, that I told my brother about and he bought one too, so he found his receipt but it is so faded, it is unreadable. This made us think there should be a law that says "a receipt should remain legible for the length of the warranty period at least"!
I scan receipts.
We dropbox them then throw the paper copy away.Quote:

There is something wrong with their Inwards Goods Section that they are not checking stuff into their store.
