A week or so back I bought a couple of cans of White Knight Squirts spray paint.

Today I painted a an item with it. When I finished, I looked down and saw large drops of paint all over the floor and on my good sneakers. Yep, the can was dripping paint from around the tube that holds the spray nozzle and I didn't notice.

At least the second can was OK.

LOL! must be their standard method of spray can delivery .. 1/4 on the target, 3/4 on the operator.

I got a couple cans of clear, and some spray zinc/gal stuff for the metals bits I've been doing on my shed doors.
The zinc can, sprayed 1/4 on my small bits of metal I made up, and 3/4 on my hand.
I changed the little white spray tip from an old can I had from a long time back, and got 100% spray onto the next bit of metal that needed covering.

I only had a small dribble/drop of turps to clean half the mess of too .. so half my index finger wasn't likely to rust in the week or so that it took to finally wash/wear off.

I received a Fetch box today to connect to the NBN.

I tried setting it up but there was no HDMI output.

After much mucking around, I tried another HDMI cable. Yep, the brand new cable included with the Fetch box is faulty,

I despair as well Arthur. Maybe the same crowd is manufacturing the nozzles these days? Haven't had a good fan spray pattern in a long time. Talking spray cans here, not bodily function.

The other thing that really ****es me off after paying in the vicinity of $18 for a can of paint, one follows the tip cleaning instructions to the tee. Next day the bloody jet has still blocked up & NOTHING comes out.
Soak the inverted can in turps & still nothing. One can return the can from whence it came & it will be replaced, but then guess what? Yep, that bloody fails as well & one still has 1/2- 3/4 of a container left. Costs more than the paint is worth to keep returning the cans & when you eventually are passing their door you get "Aw **** mate, you should have brought it back sooner" as they hand one another can which in your heart one knows is going to bugger up as well ad nauseum
Whatever you do don't ever lay the can on it's side & hit it with a pitchfork tine. OOPS!

I reckon the problem is in the non-accessible valve fixed in the top of the can.

I got a can of spray colour mixed from my local pain supply place.
Needed to be a specific metallic red for my D2 project. Didn't need much, just the headlight surrounds .. and a bit more to be sure .. so two cans.
Started spraying the colour after prepping the small surround .. spray .. careful, spray .. so on .. not just hell for leather. Between each spray burst(about 10 sec or so) .. a quick shake of the can .. keep it mixed.

About 1/4 to 1/2 way through the can .. it stopped spraying. Shake can .. still 1/2 minimum remained. Tried upside down, tried pin through nozzle .. nup!
Had to use the nozzle from my spare can to continue on.
    Buggars!

So they don't just block up next day .. they can block up on 'ya mid way through the 5-10min job too!

And yet a 10+ year old can of kill rust I had sprayed no problem recently, when I needed something for the length of angles I used for my shed windows supporting beams.

Your bloody paint has started to make my screen flicker quite rapidly. No, really.
For sure something has changed over the years, maybe the solvent? Maybe the plastic the nozzle is made from ? Maybe the solvent is allowing the nozzle to microscopically disintegrate? Maybe it is a ploy, although not a very cunning one, by the manufacturers for us silly buggers to have to buy more?

If anything was going to block the jet you'd think KillRust would be it wouldn't you?

Take it back & tell 'em where to shove it. Get your money back before you have nothing left to take back.

I keep all the old spray nozzles in a jar of paint thinners. I occasionally blow them through with an air compressor.

I can always find an unblocked nozzle.

Paint Thinners not Turps? That's where I have been going wrong I reckon. Thanks Ron.

Which curdles enamel. GP thinners might be better.
