Congrats. Also watch the upcoming trips section.
I finally picked up my Discovery tonight so hopefully it won't be long before I am out and about and possibly meeting some of you in the real world. I've just gotta get some tuition in off road driving first but I'm sure the local Land Rover club will be happy enough to help out there. Or if there is anyone else who is in the Sydney area that can help me out I would be most grateful.
There are a couple of niggly problems with the car I need to get sorted out though:
The electric wing mirrors don't work so I can't adjust them.
The rear washer doesn't work, nor does the rear wiper.
And one of the rear lights isn't working.
But otherwise I'm quite happy!
Congrats. Also watch the upcoming trips section.
Cool another Disco to Swell the ranks cheers on ya choice of vehicle![]()

Haven't been keeping up with the posts, so what model and specs does the Disco have? Good choice again on the vehicle.
It came with a pink "Safety Inspection Report" slip.
I'm happy yo accept that bulbs do just go without warning and that it may have been working at the time of the inspection but more important things like the rear wiper & washer and certainly the mirrors should be working I would have thought.
Congratulations, I hope you enjoy your new toy.
Firstly check all fuses, quite often the problem. Then check all wiring connections.
Good luck.

It's nice to have electric mirrors but can you just adjust them manually? Mine work but I very rarely adjust them as no one else drives my Disco.
It's a Disco SE7 V8i Auto. It's in pretty good nick (apart from the minor niggly faults) and I doubt it has ever been off road since it is a 'executive' model built for/by a local Land Rover dealer with leather seats, CD, Sunroof etc. Various bits you'd not get as standard. My impression of the kind of person who would buy that new is of the kind of person who wouldn't like to get it muddy.
On the other hand, I have bought it second hand so I can get it a bit muddy. Albeit in leather seated comfort![]()
