Im 6'2" so i know where you are coming from.
Ive had a quick look at my seats to see if there was something simple to do and gave up for the time being.
Are yours electric seats?
Anyone else over 6ft and find the DISCO seating position a little cramped?
Im 6'5" and most of that is my legs. On any journeys over about an hour the left leg actually becomes mightly uncomfortable...to the point where im sitting there self diagnosing DVT.
I would like to investigate seat mounting rail extensions, has anyone had any experience doing this.
PS: nobody uses the back seats anyway so it wont be an incovenience (yet)

I have lifted the Defender seats by 40mm using 40mm steel tube and poly blocks inside the tube. Mainly for passenger leg room with the air con, but also for rear leg room. Even for a 5'8" like me is more comfortable. Not sure with the Disco though.

There is a US website called Discoweb which has a modification to get more legroom for the front seats. It involves reversing the locking runner so it allows more adjustment out the back than the front. Heaps of other modifications listed too.
Check our Quick links or use Google as your friend.
Cheers.
Its for manual D1 seats

I'm 6'1" and was planning on reversing my seat rails on the weekend but had to work so will be looking at it this coming weekend. If I get to do it and if it works I'll take pics etc if that helps.

Thanks Signal1, if you have any luck I would be most grateful for the advice and photos.

I had a look this arvo at removing my driver's seat and reversing the running tracks to provide more legroom.
From what I could see, the D2 seat tracks and fittings are quite different to that mentioned for the D1 on http://www.discoweb.org.
The seat is connected to two runner frames by non removable fittings (I couldn't remove anyway) and the runner frames fit within the slides. The left slide is welded to one of the 'feet' of the seat i.e. what bolts to the floorpan. So even if the seat was removed from the sliders, they can't be switched unless the welds are cut.
When/If my seat dies, I'll probably get Recaros or similar with pull-out knee supports.
This is the left rear end of slider where welds are
This is right rear end of slider showing fixings which would need to be removed/replaced to get slider off mounting bracket.
