    Trailer

Anyone in Perth know where to get a basic, but good quality garden trailer?

Not many around 2nd hand and people seem to want too much for them. What should I expect to pay for a new 6x4?

Tregoenning, Treg Trailers, in Adelaide sell a 6x4 kit for around $500, Hm, data redundant, closer to $1000 now. Sorry.
The gist is, maybe, there is a similar manufacturer, with a similar scheme near you.
Tregs, can even be converted, at build time to a tipper. Hinge the back end and fit an hydraulic jack under the body pan. Yippee, no more shovel work.

    Shorty.

When I was looking at them a couple of years back, I think John Papas trailers were about $600 for a real basic 6X4, and up to $1100 for H/D.

I'd steer well clear of the John Papas Trailers from Perth. I made the mistake of buying one a few years ago - cheap rubbish.
    Cheers .........

i think the cheapest 6x4 you can get now in Perth is about 750-800.
my neighbour just bought a 6x4 with a detachable cage, new it cost him $1500
I was trailer hunting about a year ago it was almost impossible.
People were advertising stuff that had no lic. with holes in and they were still asking top dollar. It took me about 2/3 months to find a good one.

Best bet is to get the quokka and call early or go see the ones way out of town where people can't be bothered to go; or check out local auctions companys closing down etc.

Trailers are like cars look after them they look after you. Store in the garage and coat of paint every couple of years.

Hmm, yeah that's a trap I want to avoid.

I want low price AND top quality of course!

Yeah I was worried that might be the case. I absolutely hate shopping for stuff 2nd hand.

Frenchie: Just a thought for you: I had to replace my previous trailer 2yr ago (as a bobcat fell on it) and acquired another 8x5 (no gates) for about $900 registered. A 6x4 was $750. The extra space (area) over a 6x4 is very handy, if you need space.....

    Cheers, GQ
