I just got my series 3 fitted with gas (see the post in the lp gas section for details and pics) at T & D at caboolture. I actually priced all the installers in the area but T&D did mine for $2200 (I supplied the tank) and I was quoted $3500 by dual fuel just round the corner, which is one that was mentioned earlier in this thread. Memmots also came in a little higher too. The guys there had mine done in a little over a day's work, many other installers want the car for up to a week. Plus they worked in with me to get bits done the way I wanted them done like the fuel filler which I did pre installation (inside a modified fuel filler) and the gauges which I wanted left unconnected so I could do the mounting in sensible places. Plus all the mounts and brackets were rivetted so it matched the rest of the car which was a nice touch. I spent a little extra and went for flexi lines instead of copper, recommended as they are more forgiving in off road conditions.

I'm happy so far with the result although it has only been a week so it's still new to me.

Their number is 5498 3999, ask for Tony as he is the most experienced and will do the quote for you.

I get all my LPG work done at Platinum Automotive in Zillmere. It took me a while to find a bloke who did know what he was talking about , unlike the mob in Caloundra who originally fitted it for the original owner and claim they know everything, but don't.

Hi Guys, good to see this thread revived, got it done at motsons rocklea in the end. to be honest it was very average and gave heaps of trouble.
I know a lot of people have some great results with lpg conversions but my experience was that it was the worst thing i ever did, very unreliable and ended up costing alot more than it would of done in petrol. spoilt the rangey really.
Just my experience and I really hope you guys have a better run.

    cheers

    neil
