    good year MTR?/ bfg MT?/mickeyt MTZ?/PRO-COMP
    NEVER MIND THE PRICE DIFFERENCE I HAVE READ ALL THE THREADS ABOUT MTR VS MT I HAD MADE UP MY MIND THEN A MATE SAID WHAT ABOUT MTZ....BY THE WAY I WAS LEANING TOWARDS THE MTR..........HAS ANY ONE DRIVEN WITH THE MTZ OR THE PRO
    -COMP ON THE BLACK STUFF

    I'm in the same boat. Had just about made up my mind to go MTR, however this review of the Maxxis Bighorn from Exploroz is interesting, particularly as they are available in 255/85 whereas MTRs aren't.

    The maxxis tyres are getting a good rap in a lot of places, and are a good price. i'd go with that

    Nothing but they have had delamination (recall for a certain batch of ST's) and chipping (like lugs tearing off) problems.

    Their antichip compounds seem okay.

    I would never get ST's again. Lugs just ripped off, fortunately Cooper replaced all 5 for me for $240. New pattern STT's are fine so far.

    yeah i had coopers st and chipping bad and delaminated 500k from no where had a go at the coopers rep and they would not replace them with out me paying more cash i had done the every 10000k balance ect.. so all that big sales pitch they gave me when i bought them was all ****...so i wont be that stupid again thats why i am looking for aternative ,,mickeyt mtz /procomps i am leaning to now

    Just to add more confusion have you considered anything from the Silvertone range? I just fitted 285/65R16 Silverstone M117 Sports and they are heaps better for what I use then for than the BFG muds I ran before.....thicker side wall, more aggresive tread, MUCH MUCH easier to balance making for MUCH better on road handling over the 265/75R16 BFG muds I had before......and......much cheaper. Happy if you want to check them out on my truck before you make any decisions.
