    Apparently the Fed Govt Do Not Call register is up an running today.

    Well sort of, the site is a bit over loaded with subscribers

    Logged on and registered best piece of law they passed in 10 years but doesnt go far enough.

    Seriously considering disconnecting the phone and pulling out the letterbox it only gets advertising crap and bills in it

    I have a silent number, except telle marketers seem to know it.
    I'm not with Telstra and yet Telstra rings me to get my business, So Telstra gets access to unlisted numbers also. So why do I pay extra to be silent???????

    It doesn't seem to go far enough! Charities, political parties and market researchers can still get through.

    I have caller line ID and let all 'private number' and 'number unavailable' calls go though to the answering machine.
