another good reason why e-bay has changed their user rating system to rating particular aspects as well, such as delivery

When I've had things couriered out from Sydney (which is about 90Km away) it could take 3-5 days to get to me because of the way some of the courier companies operated. The metro boys would drop it at a regional centre, the regional boys would pick it up the next day and drop it at my "local" Post Office (because that's what some of the companies classify as a delivery), the next day the PO would deliver a card saying "you have a parcel" (because they use contract deliverers who won't touch anything larger than a matchbox) and the next day I'd drive the 1 hour round trip to pick it up.
Just a touch pathetic isn't it?

It is pretty crap, i work as a customs broker for a freight forwarder and i can have an airfreight unit full of fresh porcini mushrooms from italy in lessthan 20 hours but i cant get a parcel from syd to mel in less than 5 days !

I work as a warehouse manager here in Brisbane. We supply all Coke, Pepsi etc with parts for their vending machine fleets.Timeframes via Ipec are 1 day to Syd, 2 to Mel, 3 to Adel and 5 to Perth regardless of size,but only Metro. Outside they get sub contracted on the "milk runs" normally, thats when timeframes blow out.

Best to ask what the leadtime is and for a tracking number.Most companies would have formulated a freight matrix so just ask.
