funny how those Black Panthers walk with the gait of a Domestic/Feral Tabby and lack the undulating shoulder blades, lowered head and swaggering back end that we have all seen on the big cats that do exist.

Or how about this nice kitty i took a pic of years back....
    He was not happy.....

I had him all focused at the back of the cage and i was tormenting him to get him to look at me, just as i was about to press the shutter he lunged at the wire and i took the pic.
All the asians and other Tourists screamed and ran. i took a few steps back but it looked alot scaryier in the lense of a SLR.

I am not taking away the hope of people that it is a Black Panther, but i grew up in the Okavango Delta in Botswana and lived there till i was 22yrs ,i have seen alot of Leopards and other wild cats and as said further up in the thread [crump] it does not really have the charasteristics of the wild cats i have come into contact with .But then i am not a expert

Cant say ive seen a feral cat big enough to rip the throat out of a horse . Wild dogs attack the legs to bring an animal down. Wild cats take out their throat. Dont forget that up untill about 8000 years ago Australia was basically attached to South East Asia. There are some big felines there. I wouldnt be rulling anything out.

I tend to agree, I love my cats.....but I have seen some wopper feral ones that had no problem stalking and attacking my dogs, 2 Boxers, all I can say is I think the cat did not lose. until it took 3 .303 rounds even then still wanted to fight.
