Dobbo,
PM Mick G or Justin from GCLRO club as there is a trip planned for may be August to Coffs for the club. I could be wrong with the month but it is in around 3 - 4 months time.
Just shooting the moon here
Would anyone be interested in a Coffs Harbour run in the next couple of months. Considering it's a central spot for both the Qld's and them Sydney based members it could be a decent weekend away. I know there are a few good tracks up there but don't know the location. Didn't the GCLRO do a run there last year? Have any of you guys got locations of the good tracks?
Anyone got any ideas?

I have some tracks saved on my GPS (bottom of the range etrex). If some body can give us some tips on downloading the files I will have a crack at it, don't hold your breath though.

dont understand this GPS thing that well, but if you have the way points couldnt you just post their co-ordinates and then I could plot them into mine?? This Garmin i have has the entire country mapped in it, down to station drive ways and closed forestry tracks, Ive found roads I never knew existed in this area.I havent got around to understanding the thing as yet, but I'm sure that its possible. Will have another look at the manual.

Dobbo,
Sorry mate I have been informed that this trip with the club is only open to GCLRO members only.
If you want to do a trip then maybe decided on a date that suites you and post it in the trip area and see if any other AULRO members are interested.
It is definitely worth the trip great location and awesome 4x4 tracks 10min drive from accommodation.
Another idea is to contact the Coffs Harbour club as they are a great crew and see if you can join one of there adventures in the area.![]()
Thats fine, I didn't want to steel anyones thunder nor jump into your members only trip, I was just testing the waters to see if anyone would be interested in a AULRO weekend up there over the next few months.
Naturally if you could post or pm me a few waypoints of the decent tracks it would be greatly appreciated.
All ok, you guys should run an AULRO weekend out there it is the best 4x4 tracks I have been on similar to the Vic high county tracks.
The Coffs DVD from 4x4 monthly mentions the roads the tracks run off or start at and they also give what maps to get for the area and the tracks they have on the video.
But contact the Coffs 4x4 club and they will be able to give you any information you need they are a very accommodating down to earth club.

The file are in .GPX format, let u can use them let me know, I'm guessing you should be able to uplaod them to your GPS. I cannot find the program that I use to download them
