Okay we have 4 cars coming, wow this is going to be fun.
Forecast is for up two two inchs of rain on thursday night which means all the puddles will be full of water and lots of mud. Hmm could be interesting on dodgy tyres. Is anyone bringing a winch??

I will be meeting Steve at 7am at Turramurra Quix and then making our way up to the watagans.
I have had another look at the maps and considering distance wise its not too far figure we should all meet on the freeway side of the watagans somewhere. Then we can make up our mind on what tracks we want to tackle and explore and then go in convoy. I think it would be fairer for everyone this way.
I have never entered the watagans from the eastern side, can one of you locals suggest a spot to meet. Also what time will we meet at this new spot??

When i last camped at the basin there was a track which started straight after the causeway crossing on the northern side and starts with a fairly rutted rocky climb. Its on the right straight after the causeway. Has anyone tried this track, its not named on my maps. Might be fun. Also might be too full on for my car.

Also if we get two inchs of rain on thursday night does anyone have any idea if the creeks will be flooded, i doubt it but wondering aloud??

    Hi guys,
    bad news im afraid.
Something has come up at work and i have to go in tomorrow.
So i will be stuffing around at work brownnosing the big wigs while you guys are having fun in the mud.

Really sorry to give such lateness as i was the organiser.

Stevo to get to the letter A just keep on going up general gorge drive or whatever it is and keep going past mangrove mountain, its on the right and is signposted.

Sorry guys will have to do this another day

Fear not - it all went well. Thanks to Dobbo and Mr Relay for leading the way. Stevo has some pics, due Sun night.

And, no major damage done - so a repeat is highly probable.
