Hi boyzngirls
Any up to date info on the Creb Track? We're off back up the Cape in July ..... OK OK I know..it's a mongrel of a job, but someone's gotta do it ...
Would like to go through the Creb but unsure of condition, access etc. Apart from the obvious wet weather issue.
Cheers

wet weather generally closes it, however when I was up there last year it was still open back to China Camp from the northern end near Wujal Wujal. This was only 2-3 days after TC Larry and the area had had nearly a meter of rain. From the southern end is where they close it off. That time of year you should be pretty right, PM me when it gets closer and I will be able to give you more info, my lil sis lives at Wujal.

a master of invisibleness.
Last I checked DNR were wanting to keep the southern section (most of it and the through trip) "locked" allowing access by permit from the trad owners at wujal to Roaring Meg only. I know of people who drive it against the instructions of the authorities. The locked gate is at the river bed and those who dont respect the law drive around it. At the moment the northern (Roaring Meg) section is open.

I did the creb last week (permit from land owners is required as it’s currently closed) and it wasn't that bad for this time of the year. Last year around July it was unbelievably easy but in July 2005 it was darn hard... People have already started to do the OTL so I’m guessing by July you’ll be fine..
I needed the permit because it was being filmed. If the track is open you don't need a permit as such..
