When I was working for Telstra I started on a 4 day week. That meant working 10hrs a day Mon-Thurs and having every Friday off :)
It was great as what that really meant was doing **** all for 4 days instead of 5. Plus if you really had to get something done then you would get a Friday overtime day :):)
However by the time I left it dropped to 3 RDOs/month and then to 2. I was only there for about 18 months.

I work 9 day fortnights instead of 10 , work 8 hours 10 minutes a day but only get paid for 7 hours and 20 minutes , at the end of fortnight my employer adds the money that I didnot get paid for and gives it to me as a Day off, it's no money out of their pocket and I get a Day to do nothing. :)
I'm about to start a State Government job that is a 72.5hr fortnight. I don't know if they have flexi, RDOs or nothing at all yet.
Thats a 9 day fortnight, we work the same every second weekend is a long one and if it is already a long weekend then it's a 4 day weekend:cool:Quote:

Flexi time is where you work additional hours over 38 hours don't get paid overtime (uness directed to work overtime by supervisor) but you can bank the hours and take them at later date.
I did my first day today. It is 9-5 and 36.25hrs/week with flexi time. So if I do a 30min lunch break instead of 45 then I clock up 1hr 15mins/week without even thinking about it. Easy to do since it's an office job and is dead easy. Plenty of time to relax without wasting your own time to do it :DQuote:
